Since 1956, the BDIU bring tpgether the interests of the debt collection economy. Today the association has 560 member companies. They represent the interests of over half a million creditors - from all economic sectors.
Five billion euros for the economy - annually!
Debt Collection is indispensable. Each year, BDIU member companies return around five billion euros of credits to the economic cycle. They process more than 22 million reminders annually in out-of-court collection processes.

In Europe, the BDIU is the largest association of debt collection company, the world's second. With its membership in the European organization FENCA (Federation of European National Collection Associations) and the cooperation with the US partner association ACA International, BDIU members are involved in a worldwide network of thousand companies of the sector.

Born in the 1998 by the fusion between Airec and Assorec UNIREC is the association that aggregates all the debt collection enterprises, the credit purchase companies and also the commercial info ones.
Nowadays about 200 Companies - over the 88% of the italian debt collection market - join UNIREC.
In 2010 together with ADICONSUM (one of the most important consumers' association), UNIREC founded EBITEC, the first Ente Bilaterale Nazionale per la Tutela del Credito (a platform shared by debt collection companies and consumers associations ).
In 2014 the UNIREC-Consumatori forum was founded together with the Consumers' Association (e.g. Adiconsum, Federconsumatori, Movimento Consumatori).
